Thing 23

Now, for my wrap up:
What did I like about this experience:
  • It introduced a lot of new sites/tools
  • The "have fun with this" attitude of the entire experience

I did find tools that I can use at home and at work. I'd never done a lot with IM before Catch23; now I use it to talk with my wife during the day. I've added a lot to my Facebook page--that started just before Catch23.

The buddy thing didn't work quite like we expected. However, the committee did a good job of providing help and support. In fact, working with the committee was the best part of this project.

I don't know what we could have done to make this experience better.

I'm ready for another Learning 2.0 experience -- maybe next spring!

Thing 12

Why do I love Flickr?

a) it's free storage for all of our family photos
b) it allows us to share as we want
c) it allows our church to post new photos on their website without alot of expertise.

I've added people to my contact list, and shared photos.

Thing 13

Image toys are fun!

Thing 14

On the other hand (or claw, if you will)....

I started using del.icio.us when I came to TCU. I was tired of reloading all my favorite websites. Of course, I need to go in and edit/organize my account since I've just added sites willy-nilly for 20 months.

I do look at the comments when I look at websites using the tool. I'm very bad about posting my own comments.

Thing 15

Confession time -- Technorati is not favorite tool.

I've watched the video. I searched for learning 2.0 (and web 2.0 and library 2.0). I looked at the various blogs--I already subscribe to the ones that interet me.

Hmmm....

Thing 16

Yes, I'm so bad about keeping up with my blog!!!

I've had a library thing account for over a year. I think I like Shelfari better; however, I do like the OPAC tools that LibraryThing are creating. Most of the items in my LT are books that I read on the train last year.

It's neat to see the tags others use to describe banned books.

Here's my chicklet for LT:

Things 17 & 18

I love wikis, especially PBWiki. I've made dozens of them! I love the new interface, and the ability to cut and paste Office docs into them.

I use wikis with most all the committees I work with. I like that you can create one and start working in less than 5 minutes.

I made my "dark and stormy post" during the weekly session (along with my blog link).

Sign me waky about wikis!
